◎Origin:
Annually since the first conference of 1995.
◎Objectives:
To promote the quality control of Taiwan’s Food and Beverage management, to create communication links between the food and beverage industries and the academic world, we hold this special conference in the hope that through it we may gather together experts from production, government and academe to explore together and at some depth the issues concerning Taiwan’s present foods and beverage operations, in the hope that resulting findings may provide relevant spheres with effective references for operation, and lead Taiwan’s food and beverage industries toward sounder future directions.
◎Contributions:
Up to 2007, we have already held ten annual conferences on management. The topic set for each conference focuses on actual needs. Panelists from both public and private sectors met together to discuss real issues as well as theories. Moreover, we have invited international scholars to participate in order to share with us their practical experiences overseas and to enlarge the horizons and viewpoints of Taiwan’s food and beverage industries. To date ten Proceedings have been published, including 95 papers that discuss the food and beverage industries, operations, managements, marketing, chain-marketing of foods and beverages as well as operation and management of independent restaurants, etc.
